This contemporary text addresses a wide range of diverse groups in society as they relate to the criminal justice system.
Multiculturalism and the Criminal Justice System, 1e, is the contemporary text that addresses diversity and multicultural issues in the policing, judicial, correctional, and juvenile justice segments of the criminal justice system. This text contains numerous visual aids that showcase data that is current and relevant. Unlike the competition, this text is comprehensive in its portrayal of various minority groups, addresses the issues from a systemic view of criminal justice, is practitioner-driven, and is well organized.

anti-capitalist, advocates socialist/communist concepts It was an e-book so of course it was acceptable quality, but the *content* of the book is absolute garbage. Yes, many facts are brought in the book, but the author's interpretation of those facts is often with an explicit anti-American, anti-capitalist, and anti-white sentiment, and with a clear underlying advocation of socialist/communist concepts. Enough with the Leftist monopoly in academia!Topics poorly conceived Nothing is more frustrating in a learning environment, in my opinion, than a person who attempts to teach or offer insight with an agenda. It would be refreshing to read a book where the person does not push their liberal or conservative agenda. Putting that aside, the book is one sided without common sense insight to views affecting criminal justice as a whole. Some wonderful ideas are explored and suggested, however the individuals writing about them in my view do not have real world solutions or understand how they can be applied. As a criminal justice practitioner with twenty years experience, this book leaves a huge amount to be desired. I am close to graduating and attending graduate school, books like these do not offer good insight with an open mind. Students and individuals outside of the criminal justice field are exposed to the books agenda and can develop negative insight due to the agenda put forth in this book. Hopefully someday people will leave politics out of these text books and keep and open mind.used for class I just bought this book for my criminal justice class. The teacher basically read this whole book as a lecture.
